In my first test, I was not biased one way or another. I don’t think this is very surprising since I tend to be very open minded and treat everyone the same. I thought it was kind of fun taking the test since it was like a little game but I messed up a few times because I forgot what keys went to what word or picture.

The test I did was the association of male with liberal arts and female with science and overall what I feel like I learned about myself is I struggle being able to label what subject would go under liberal arts and what would go under science. My response showed I moderately associate males with science and females with liberal arts more. Yet, I feel like in my game I was not slower on either one so idk how accurate that may be.

I was not biased towards either side when I took my first test. This doesn’t surprise me since I usually surround myself with lots of different kinds of people. I did enjoy the test but it was confusing sometimes. I was kind of scared that I would end up being biased a certain way so I was really trying to focus, but I think I did pretty well.

In my first test, I was very biased to one side. I noticed I tried memorizing an order or pattern they show the photos and words. I don’t think that I learned anything new from this test but I think it made me think harder when just reading a word or looking at a photo because then I had to tell my hand to press a certain button.

I think that the response I got from the IAT was accurate and I wasn’t shocked by my answer. I think maybe if anything I was expecting more of an automatic preference to the topic compared to another. My preference was only moderate when I thought it would be higher.

I took the IAT test that was about age. I actually had to take many of these tests off of the same website last semester in one of my education classes, so I am very familiar with the website. However, I don’t always agree with the results. My results showed that I strongly prefer young people over old people. I don’t think that I prefer one group strongly over the other. I don’t think I learned anything new about myself since it isn’t the first time I’ve taken these, but I do find them very interesting.

After taking the test, it does make a lot of sense how this can give a good idea of if you’re prejudiced and towards what. I have learned I’ve got little prejudice. I say it this way because I am equally prejudice both ways. I think this shows I don’t have preference over one thing or another, but am biased towards both.

I took a test about religion. The obvious part was I mostly prefered Islam to compare with others. However, the results showed that I prefer more christianity then Judaism, whihc was intresting for me. I never thought about it before, so it was interesting.

My results showed that I did not have preference one way or the other. This is what I was assuming because I chose a test where I knew I really had no bias one way, at least based on my knowledge. I would be interested to see what the results would be for a category where I would have more bias.

I like that you tried a test that you didn’t think you would have much bias on. The fact that your results reflected that too is very cool!

After taking the first test I did have a faster response time to one side than the other, and I think it reflects what people are mostly exposed to and what media prioritizes.

My second test was thin people vs fat people and I ended up with my bias which I do not have so I already knew that. I had no preference between fat or thin and so all together everything was how I thought it would turn out.

In both of my tests I was slightly biased towards one side then the other side, this does slightly shock me because I feel like I am a very open-minded person, but I did realize that with the images and clicking a side I was trying to go fast and memorize a pattern rather than accurately answer the question.

For my second test I had slight bias. This was was not super surprising for me, as I think I am exposed to this type of bias more often in my life. I don’t think I hold this bias, but I think I learned that what I’m exposed to can change the results.

When I took the test it showed that I had moderate automatic association bias towards one side. To me I did find this a little bit surprising. I think it would be interesting to see other peoples results and how they feel about their results.

During my second test I was shocked to find how hard it was compared to the first one. I was definitely biased to one side during my results which was quite surprising. I would enjoy seeing all of us take the same test and see how we all differ and find out why that might be.

I agree I was not as good on my second test compared to the first test, which I find odd. My second test was also more biased to one side compared to my first test. That would be really interesting to see all the different outcomes.

I took the test that was about Native Americans and White Americans. I thought it was interesting because it said that I had a moderate correlation between the present and Native Americans and the past with White Americans when in reality, I would think the opposite. I also felt that in my “games,” I was even with either test that depicted this outcome.
The second test I took was about Gender and the associations between Liberal Arts and Sciences. This result did not surprise me that much.

I think these tests show us our unconscious bias towards topics we don’t pay much attention to. As for the topics we are interested in or pay close mind to, we kind of expected the results that we received. I also think that the tests show us that we are a lot less biased on certain topics than we may think.

For my second test I decided to do the one about presidents. I was not shocked by my results, but I do feel they were a little bit different than I anticipated. I think it’s interesting how they used President Trump vs a group of other recent presidents. This test definitely showed my bias towards a certain group of presidents.

For my second test, I did one about age. It said that I moderately preferred young people over old people which might be actually accurate. However, I did mess up a lot because I kept forgetting when they changed the sections so I am not sure how accurate the test really is.

I agree, I think it’s hard to distinguish whether or not these tests can really tell us anything about ourselves. It’s easy to miss click a button or forget the subjects switched sides when we’re preforming in a timely situation. I also messed up a few times while taking the tests, which is typically expected when going so fast. It’s hard to say if there’s any truth behind it, I’m not sure what I believe about it.

The second test that I took was about Presidents. It said I had a slight automatic preference to recent presidents over Donald Trump. I don’t really find this to be accurate, among with the other tests on the website. I think it’s hard for to distinguish whether or not the test is accurate or if they brain is just being tricked by the switching of the sections.

I agree I was also skeptical of the tests and how accurate they are. I feel my first test was more accurate than my second test according to my results. Im curious how others feel about the accuracy of both of the tests they took and how they may compare to one another.

For my second test I did one about age. My results showed I did have a bias towards younger people which I did find a little bit surprising because I personally didn’t think I had a bias towards either younger or older people.

I also did the age test and had similar results. It wasn’t anything I had really thought about before the test, but I did enjoy taking it and considering how my brain works automatically.

For my second test I took the age test. My results said I had a slight automatic preference for young people over old people, and I am not too surprised with that result. I don’t think I have a large automatic bias towards young people, but I think it is there slightly just because of the majority of reoccurring people in my life who tend to be younger.

That is how my thought process went as well when doing the age test. I feel like it was just more natural for us as young people to choose the pictures of people who resembled us the most, instead of the ones that looked not much like us at all.

For my first test, I took the one about Presidents. I was not surprised at all with my results because I am neutral about politics and political parties. I do not have any strong personal opinions about any past or current presidents, so my results tracked right as I expected it to.

For my second test, I took the age test. It stated that I strongly automatically preferred young people when compared to old people and I’m not sure if that entirely makes sense. I do not think that I have a disliking towards older people, but rather I am going to gravitate to the people who look like me instead of the ones that look older.

I took the weight preference for my second test. My results were I had a slight preference for thin people. This surprised me because I am very much of a person that weight does not weigh in on my opinion on a specific person. But I think that this was because in the first part of the study it was clicking images, and I think I was more concerned about trying to go fast and find a pattern then answer then correctly.

I agree that I was trying to memorize the pattern more then what the actual experiment is. I think it might have some accurate correlation that people do not realize but I also believe that lots of the results could be inaccurate based on how you approached the experiment.

I took the test about old and young people. I had a slight bias towards younger people. I don’t really think I have this but it could be possible since this is my age group so I would be more likely to choose it.

I think that the tests aren’t completely accurate because with some of the tests it would say that I am more biased to one side then the other and I don’t necessarily agree with them, but it would make sense to have more of a biased opinion towards younger people then older people just because you can relate to them more than older people.
